Shim Baseline Finder
This tool provides suggestions to baseline shim materials based on measured shim damping from -30 to 150 °C between 1500 and 12000 Hz. To use the Shim Baseline Finder, input at least one pair consisting of a noise frequency and a pad temperature in the search filter. Optionally, up to three pairs can be entered which will all be taken into account, simultaneously. If a frequency-temperature pair is left empty, it will not influence the search.
Additionally, it is possible to search based on maximal nominal thickness and electronic parking brake compatibility. By default, the search is limited to materials with a steel core of medium thickness when no maximal nominal thickness is entered. This is the general recommendation for baseline shims. Thinner and thicker materials are available and can be accessed by entering a value for the maximal nominal thickness in the search filter.
